WestJet to purchase seven additional Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft

WestJet is adding four Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft to its fleet by converting purchase options with Boeing into a firm delivery. The 737 aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in 2007. WestJet also announced the exercise of purchase rights for an additional three 737 Next-Generation aircraft in 2008. The airline’s Next-Generation 737 aircraft feature increased legroom and leather seats, as well as live seatback television provided by Bell ExpressVu.
