Air Canada announces changes to Board of Directors

Air Canada today announced changes to its Board of Directors. Robert G. Long, FCA, has been appointed to the Air Canada Board of Directors, concurrent with the resignations of Richard McCoy and John McLennan. As previously announced, David Richardson will succeed Robert Milton as Chairman. These changes, to take effect January 1, 2008, will bring the total number of board members to nine. "The entire Air Canada Board joins me in thanking Robert Milton for his leadership and vision to build the strong and viable Air Canada we have today. We also wish to thank Richard McCoy and John McLennan for their contribution to the Board, and welcome Robert Long as a new member. His extensive experience will be a valuable asset," said David Richardson, Incoming Chairman of the Board. Robert Long has held executive positions at Ernst & Young, where he was Regional Managing Partner before becoming Vice Chairman - Operations for the firm, prior to retirement. He also held the position of Chair of the Professional Conduct Committee of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants. Mr. Long is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
