Air Canada offers big savings to sample subscription air travel passes this winter season
December 14, 2006
Air Canada is offering exceptional savings this winter season to try out a special version of its new subscription flight passes that provide the freedom of unlimited air travel. On sale December 14, 2006 to January 3, 2007, Air Canada's "Welcome Aboard" flight pass promotion starts at only $229 per month, payable over a two month period, and provides access to book flights exclusively on Tuesdays and Saturdays, anywhere Air Canada, Jazz and its regional partners fly in Canada and the continental United States. A three day option is also available that extends travel days to include Sundays as well. Air Canada's 'Welcome Aboard' sample flight passes are valid for travel between January 9 and March 6, 2007 within four zones to choose from: Canada East, Canada West, Across Canada and North America. "Our 'Welcome Aboard' flight pass promotion is a great opportunity to try out our Unlimited Passes at an exceptionally low monthly rate," said Charles McKee, Vice President, Marketing. "Customer feedback has been very positive since we launched Unlimited Passes in October. With this special offer, we want to encourage first time users to try out and experience for themselves the freedom to travel where they want with the convenience of fixed monthly payments." Air Canada is the only airline that offers its customers multi-trip Flight Passes which provide the convenience to self-manage travel online, either in the form of pre-purchased banks of flight credits or fixed monthly subscription rates that provide for unlimited flights. Earlier this year, the airline launched the 'London Pass', its first pass for international travel, and the 'Oil Express Pass' designed specifically for oil patch workers in Northern Alberta travelling for work and leisure. Other Flight Passes offered for frequent travellers include the popular 'Rapidair Pass', valid on the carrier's frequent shuttle services between Toronto-Montreal and Toronto- Ottawa, and multi-user 'Small Business Pass' designed for up to eight employees of the same company. The airline also offers leisure passes for sun seekers, including 'Sun Pass East', 'Sun Pass West', and 'Hawaii Pass'.
