Air Canada to introduce the only daily non-stop flights from Vancouver-Yellowknife

Air Canada today announced that it will expand flights to the diamond capital of North America with the launch of the only daily, non-stop service from Vancouver to Yellowknife. Air Canada Jazz will launch seasonal service on December 1, ending April 2008, with 50-seat, made-in-Canada Bombardier CRJ aircraft. Tickets are now available for purchase. "The introduction of the only non-stop flights from Vancouver to Yellowknife links the vibrant and growing economy of Canada's north to Air Canada's global network with convenient connections to and from Japan," said Daniel Shurz, Vice President, Network Planning. "We expect these flights to be popular with both business travellers from Vancouver as well as leisure travellers from Asia. The Yellowknife to Vancouver fights will complement our current services from our most northern Canadian destination to Edmonton and Calgary." Flights will depart Yellowknife at 09:05, and arrive in Vancouver at 10:40. Flights will depart Vancouver at 12:15, and arrive in Yellowknife at 15:45. Flights have been timed to offer convenient connections to and from Tokyo, Osaka, and points within British Columbia.
