This airport is located in the northwest corner of Chicago, Illinois. It is considered the world's second busiest airport. It sees nearly 900,000 flights per year. There are nearly 70 million passengers that pass through the airport annually.
History
The site for the airport to be built was chosen in 1945 and construction was started on the airport shortly after. It had its fifth runway by 1949.
In the 1960s, the Chicago O'Hare Airport became the busiest airport in the world for a time. It was dedicated by President John F. Kennedy in 1963. It had 20 million annual customers by 1965, and 30 million by 1968. It hit 60 million annual customers in 1990.
In 2005, the O'Hare Modernization Program was initiated. This plan was started to modernize O'Hare and make it ready for the 21st century. The airport is constantly undergoing improvements even today under this plan.

O'Hare has one main parking lot and a few smaller parking areas. The main parking lot has affordable pricing with restricted parking areas for special vehicles. There is also disabled accessible parking. There is a drop off and pickup area called the Kiss 'n' Fly and a free of charge cell phone parking lot where you can wait to pick someone up from the airport. All payments are made with cash or credit. There is a number to contact as well if you are going to be parking for over a month.
