WestJet Adds Second Daily Flight to Quebec City
May 17, 2008
WestJet today announced the addition of a second daily non-stop flight between Quebec City and Toronto. Support for this destination has been very strong and the addition of a second daily flight will enable guests to access new markets, particularly sun destinations for winter travellers. Starting May 17, 2008, WestJet will operate one daily flight between Quebec City and Toronto and starting November 2, 2008, it will increase to two flights daily. "We are thrilled with the support we have received surrounding our entry into Quebec City," said Bob Cummings, Executive Vice-President, Guest Experience and Marketing. "A second daily flight will provide guests more flexibility with travel schedules and will further open Quebec City to WestJet's 47-city network. This additional flight connects Quebecers to many great WestJet sun destinations, including Florida. For the Quebec City business traveller, these additional convenient flight times make WestJet a stronger travel alternative. "WestJet is already bringing its low-fare high-value leadership to Quebec City. Current pricing for Quebec City to Toronto is $109 for travel through June 25, 2008. We encourage Quebecers to experience our friendly service on one of our LiveTV-equipped Next-Generation Boeing 737s and take advantage of our increased schedule in the fall." The addition of Quebec City marks the airline's 27th destination within Canada, giving over 25 million Canadians easy access to WestJet's expanding network of 47 destinations in Canada, U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean.
