WestJet announces Elvis is alive

December 9, 2010 WestJet today announced that Elvis had been found boarding WestJet's inaugural flight between Ottawa and Las Vegas. Accompanied by two showgirls, the King of Rock 'n' Roll could be seen posing for photos with WestJet guests. 'WestJet is so pleased to offer seasonal non-stop service between Ottawa and Las Vegas,' said Hugh Dunleavy, WestJet Executive Vice-President, Strategy and Planning. 'Guests choose to vacation in Las Vegas because they're looking to have fun. With fun, friendly and caring values at the core of WestJet's brand, we're excited to welcome guests looking to start a great vacation from the time they board our aircraft.' 'This is such an important and fun day for us,' said Michael Crockatt, Vice President, Business Development and Marketing for the Ottawa International Airport Authority, 'Las Vegas has been one of the most requested routes by Ottawa-Gatineau travellers. Thanks to WestJet, we can now say we have it.' WestJet will fly between Ottawa and Las Vegas twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.
