WestJet launches service to fourth Dominican destination
Airline makes first flight today from Toronto to Samana, Dominican Republic
June 5, 2010 WestJet today announced the launch of new seasonal non-stop service between Toronto and Samana, Dominican Republic. The inaugural flight departs from Toronto's Pearson International Airport at 10 a.m. EDT today. 'Samana is the one of the Dominican Republic's best kept secrets and WestJet is excited to bring Canadian travellers to this part of the island,' said Hugh Dunleavy, WestJet Executive Vice-President, Strategy and Planning. WestJet will fly between Toronto and Samana once weekly on Saturday until October 30, 2010. The schedule details of WestJet's new service are: WestJet WS2644 departs Toronto 10:00am, arrives Samana, D.R. 2:10pm WestJet WS2645 departs Samana, D.R. 3:00pm, arrives Toronto 7:05pm One-way fares, available in both directions on non-stop flights only, are available from $199 plus applicable taxes and fees.
