WestJet launches service to fourth Dominican destination

Airline makes first flight today from Toronto to Samana, Dominican Republic

WestJet today announced the launch of new seasonal non-stop service between Toronto and Samana, Dominican Republic. The inaugural flight departs from Toronto's Pearson International Airport at 10 a.m. EDT today.

WestJet will fly between Toronto and Samana once weekly on Saturday until October 30, 2010.

The schedule details of WestJet's new service are:
WestJet WS2644 departs Toronto 10:00am, arrives Samana, D.R. 2:10pm
WestJet WS2645 departs Samana, D.R. 3:00pm, arrives Toronto 7:05pm

As part of its 2010 summer schedule, WestJet will continue to offer year-round service from Toronto to two other Dominican Republic destinations - check out Punta Cana's coconut coast and Puerto Plata's traditional charms, with one-way fares starting at $229 $269 respectively, plus applicable fees and taxes. WestJet Vacations packages start at $649 for Puerto Plata and $789 for Punta Cana, plus applicable fees and taxes, for a seven-night stay. WestJet also flies to La Romana on a seasonal basis.
